背景：
楊文淵，晴空柳州人士，世代務農，日出而作，日入而息。
其父楊保曾胸懷大志，闖盪江湖。行走十年，得悉老父重病，遂放下江湖刀，重執農家耙。
四二六年，村外綠林群起，村中雙親皆逝，幸得武人董鵬仗義相助，周遭眾賊皆除。
董鵬為楊保生死之交，文淵景仰董鵬其俠義，逐求董鵬其為徒。董見文淵為友人之子，故收其為徒。
董鵬傾囊相授，文淵日練武藝，夜讀詩書。春秋交替，董鵬見文淵初有小成，遂在楊背剌上追日之龍，望文淵做事光明磊落，無愧於心。
文淵十八，董鵬囑咐文淵，望其行俠仗義，行走江湖，並授與長刀鏈甲。
文淵告別恩師，出外一闖。
